Questions people ask
Do I need my own API key?
Yes. Botshido works with OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), Mistral and xAI (Grok). You create the key with the provider and pay them directly.
How much will the AI cost me?
It depends on the model and on how many messages your visitors send. Your provider’s dashboard shows exactly what you spend. We add nothing on top.
Where does my visitors' data go?
Conversations are stored in your WordPress database. Messages are sent to the AI provider you chose, and only to that one. Botshido includes a consent notice, retention settings and WordPress privacy export and erase; you stay responsible for your own privacy policy.
What's the difference between Free and Pro?
Free gives you one chatbot that answers from your content, with all four providers and no message limits. Pro adds the guiding: flows, handoff, lead collection, A/B tests, WooCommerce and unlimited chatbots.
Will it answer in my visitors' language?
The AI models answer in the language the visitor writes in, with quality that depends on the model. Botshido also works with WPML and Polylang.
What if my Pro licence expires?
Your chatbot keeps running. You stop receiving updates and support until you renew.
